FEE WAIVERS AVAILABLE: Apply for the University of Oxford School of Climate Change – Hilary 2026 Programme (online and in-Person)

Applications are open for the School of Climate Change, an intensive 8-week program designed to immerse participants in the critical issues surrounding the climate crisis. This course brings together researchers, professionals, and activists from a variety of fields to provide a comprehensive introduction to climate science, policy, activism, and solutions. Attendees will gain insights from leading academics from Oxford and beyond, exploring topics such as the science of climate change, nature-based solutions, climate economics, energy transitions, planetary boundaries, and effective communication of climate issues.

The program blends three core elements: learning, applying, and connecting. Each week, participants will join interactive lectures and discussions led by top experts, followed by Q&A sessions. They will collaborate on a capstone project aimed at addressing a real-world climate challenge. Additionally, networking opportunities and social events in Weeks 1, 4, and 8 will allow participants to connect with peers and expand their community of climate-conscious individuals. Successful completion of the capstone project will be recognized with a certificate of achievement.

The course kicks off with an in-person session on Tuesday, 20 January, from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Ship Street Centre in Oxford. Subsequent sessions will be held every Thursday evening, 18:00–20:00 GMT, from 29 January to 12 March at the same location. No prior experience is required—curiosity, motivation, and commitment are all you need. Participation is open to anyone, regardless of affiliation with the University of Oxford.

A nominal £15 fee helps cover program costs, but full fee waivers are available on a simple, no-questions-asked basis to ensure the program remains accessible to all. Apply now—spaces are limited, and applications will be assessed on a rolling basis, so early submission is strongly encouraged.
