Applications are now open for RAISEAfrica 2026 – Renewables Accelerators for Innovative Startups and Entrepreneurs in Africa, an initiative supporting emerging innovators working to advance clean energy solutions across the continent.

Led by RES4Africa Foundation, the programme focuses on strengthening African entrepreneurship within the renewable energy sector by helping promising ideas evolve into scalable and sustainable businesses.

The initiative is delivered with support from Enel Green Power and the European Investment Bank, alongside implementation partners including EY Foundation, EDP, CSIR, and SAICA Enterprise Development.

Programme Overview

RAISEAfrica aims to empower young African entrepreneurs building innovative renewable energy solutions by providing technical guidance, visibility, and access to global energy networks.

Selected participants will benefit from:

• Tailored mentorship and business coaching
• Access to international energy experts and investors
• Participation in global industry events
• Networking within Africa’s clean energy ecosystem
• Fundraising and investment readiness support
• Increased international visibility for their startups

Up to six entrepreneurs or startups will be selected for the 2026 cohort.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

• Innovation and originality of the solution
• Potential impact within Africa’s energy transition
• Strength of the business model
• Scalability and sustainability potential
• Entrepreneurial motivation and commitment
