Applications are now open for the FASPE Clergy & Religious Leaders Fellowship, a fully funded two-week program that explores professional ethics and ethical leadership through the lens of history. The fellowship will take place from June 19 – July 3, 2026, in Germany and Poland. Fellows will engage in seminars, site visits, and discussions examining the role of religious leaders during the Nazi era and connecting those lessons to current ethical challenges faced in ministry, chaplaincy, and interfaith leadership. Program Benefits
FASPE provides full funding for all program costs, including flights, lodging, meals, and site visits. Fellows will travel to Berlin and Poland, visiting historical sites while participating in seminars and interdisciplinary exchanges. The program offers a unique chance to strengthen ethical leadership skills, engage in interfaith dialogue, and connect with an international network of future leaders in religion, law, journalism, medicine, and business.
Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship is open to graduate students and recent graduates of religious, theological, or chaplaincy programs, as well as current religious leaders with a graduate degree earned in May 2019 or later. Applicants do not need to be ordained, but should be preparing for or engaged in vocational service such as ministry, chaplaincy, or teaching. Ideal candidates are those with leadership potential, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to reflect on moral complexity in interfaith and plural contexts.
