Each of the 15 selected winners will receive a USD 20,000 cash award to support the growth of their business. In addition to the financial prize, winners will gain access to mentorship, technical training, business insights, branding and marketing opportunities, and increased international visibility through Global Citizen and PayPal networks.

The program is designed to help impact-driven businesses scale their operations, strengthen their community impact, and connect with a global network of entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Applicants must be the owner, founder, or CEO who plays an active leadership role in the business. The business must be an independent small or medium-sized enterprise with fewer than 50 full-time employees or less than USD 1 million in annual revenue, subject to local regulations. It must have been operating for at least three years and should have a demonstrated record of making a positive impact within its community.

Eligible businesses should have an online presence that enables customers to access their products or services. Applicants must also show tangible contributions such as supporting community initiatives, creating employment opportunities, promoting sustainability, or delivering measurable social or environmental benefits. Franchises, national or international chains, and businesses affiliated with sanctioned entities are not eligible. The awards are open to businesses based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), North America, and Latin America.
