Applications are open for the prestigious Cartier Women’s Initiative Regional Awards 2027. The Cartier Women’s Initiative is a globally recognized annual entrepreneurship program designed to support women impact entrepreneurs who are using business as a force for good. Since its launch in 2006, the initiative has empowered women-led and women-owned businesses that are creating sustainable social and environmental impact across different sectors and regions worldwide.

The Regional Awards recognize outstanding women entrepreneurs from nine regions around the world. For each region, three fellows will be selected and provided with financial support, human capital development opportunities, networking exposure, and media visibility. The programme is intended for early-stage to growth-stage businesses that demonstrate strong potential for long-term positive impact and sustainability.

Program Benefits

Selected fellows will receive substantial financial support, global recognition, executive coaching, mentorship, networking opportunities, and media exposure through the Cartier Women’s Initiative ecosystem. Fellows also gain access to a lifelong community of entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and business leaders from around the world.

The programme provides human capital support through leadership training, business mentoring, and entrepreneurship workshops aimed at helping fellows scale their businesses sustainably. Winners also receive international visibility and opportunities to connect with potential investors and strategic partners.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be women-led and women-owned impact-driven businesses that are focused on creating positive social and/or environmental change. The business should already be generating revenue and should have been operational for at least one year before the application deadline. In addition, the applicant must hold a primary leadership role within the company, such as founder, co-founder, CEO, managing director, or equivalent leadership position.

The initiative welcomes businesses from all sectors provided they demonstrate measurable impact and a sustainable business model. Only one application per business is allowed each year, and businesses applying to multiple categories or through multiple founders may be disqualified. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the selection criteria and scoring rubric before submitting their applications.

The opportunity is open globally to women impact entrepreneurs from all countries and regions around the world. Regional categories include Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, Europe, Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa, Anglophone and Lusophone Africa, Middle East and North Africa, East Asia, South Asia and Central Asia, and Oceania.
