This global initiative by Global Citizen in partnership with FIFA is designed to expand access to quality education through the transformative power of sport. The fund supports grassroots organisations working to ensure that every child, especially in underserved and marginalised communities, has access to safe, inclusive, and equitable learning opportunities. Through this initiative, FIFA and Global Citizen aim to empower community-based groups that use education and sport as tools for social change and sustainable development.

Program Benefits
Successful organisations will receive a one-time grant to implement their proposed project over a one-year period. Funding amounts typically range from USD 50,000 to USD 250,000, based on the scale and impact of the initiative.

Beyond financial support, selected organisations will benefit from international visibility, networking opportunities, and potential partnerships through the FIFA and Global Citizen platforms. All grantees are required to submit both mid-term and final reports to demonstrate project progress and outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants must be legally registered non-profit organisations that operate at the community or grassroots level and directly serve between 500 and 10,000 people. The requested funding must not exceed 50% of the organisation’s annual budget for the proposed project year. Applicants must also demonstrate financial stability, preferably supported by at least three years of audited or certified financial statements.

Organisations must directly implement their proposed initiatives and show how their work addresses key barriers to education such as financial hardship, poor infrastructure, gender inequality, and exclusion of children with disabilities or from minority groups.

Priority will be given to organisations that serve underrepresented or vulnerable communities, operate in underserved regions, and have proven experience in delivering sustainable, community-driven solutions. Only one application per organisation is allowed.
