FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the GEAF Ambassador Programme 2027 Global Environmental Leadership Programme for Climate Changemakers

Applications are now open for the GEAF Ambassador Programme 2027, a six-month international leadership initiative created by the Green Earth Action Foundation (GEAF) to support individuals who are passionate about environmental protection, sustainability, and community-driven climate action.

The programme offers participants an opportunity to transform innovative environmental ideas into practical, locally led initiatives through expert training, personalized mentorship, project funding, and access to a growing international network of environmental leaders.

Selected ambassadors will receive technical and financial support to design and implement projects that address pressing environmental challenges while contributing to global sustainability goals.

Programme Overview

The GEAF Ambassador Programme is designed to strengthen environmental leadership by combining learning, mentorship, project implementation, and international collaboration.

Throughout the six-month programme, ambassadors will participate in expert-led training sessions covering areas such as:

  • International climate governance
  • Sustainable development
  • Climate communication and advocacy
  • Fundraising and partnerships
  • Innovation and sustainability
  • Media engagement and storytelling

Participants will also receive one-on-one support from the GEAF team throughout the entire project cycle, from project design to implementation and final reporting.

Thematic Areas

Community projects developed through the programme must align with one of the following focus areas:

  • Waste Reduction and Pollution Prevention
  • Marine and Water Protection
  • Environmental Education and Community Empowerment
  • Climate-Smart Agriculture Advancement
  • Forest and Biodiversity Protection

Training and Learning Opportunities

Previous programme editions have featured sessions facilitated by experts from internationally recognized organizations, including:

Training topics have included:

Community Project Grants

Each ambassador will receive financial support to implement a local environmental initiative during 4.29 Green Earth Action Day, a synchronized global campaign taking place on 29 April 2027.

Projects may include:

  • Environmental awareness campaigns
  • Community clean-up initiatives
  • Reforestation activities
  • Biodiversity conservation projects
  • Climate-smart agricultural initiatives
  • Water conservation programmes

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

  • Leadership potential

  • Project feasibility
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Alignment with community needs
  • Environmental relevance

Required Documents

Applicants must submit:

  • A passport copy
  • A curriculum vitae (maximum two pages)
  • A motivation letter (maximum one page)
  • A project proposal (maximum five pages)

Selection Process

The programme follows a multi-stage selection process:

  1. Online application submission
  2. Initial screening
  3. First interview
  4. Project proposal refinement
  5. Final interview and selection

Programme Timeline

Summer–Autumn 2026: Application, screening, and interviews

Winter 2026: Final cohort selection

Early 2027: Programme launch and orientation

29 April 2027: Green Earth Action Day project implementation

Spring 2027: Continued training and reporting

Summer 2027: Graduation and programme completion

Eligibility Criteria
