FULLY FUNDED: Apply for the IGAD Regional Youth Coalition on Climate and Climate-Resilient Agri-food Systems Programme for young changemakers

Applications are now open for young people and youth-led organisations across the IGAD region to join the IGAD Regional Youth Coalition on Climate and Climate-Resilient Agri-food Systems. The initiative, established by the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre with support from Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, aims to strengthen youth engagement in climate action and promote climate-resilient agri-food systems across the region.

Young people throughout the IGAD region continue to play a critical role in advancing climate action through advocacy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable agricultural practices. Despite their growing impact, many youth-led initiatives still face challenges such as limited access to climate services, funding opportunities, mentorship, business development support, and institutional networks. The new Coalition seeks to address these gaps by creating a regional platform that connects, empowers, and amplifies youth voices and solutions.

The Coalition will bring together young leaders and organisations working on climate solutions, particularly within agriculture and agri-food systems, while also remaining inclusive of initiatives in other climate-sensitive sectors. Selected members will gain access to expert-led mentorship, interactive learning opportunities, knowledge-sharing sessions, collaboration platforms, and youth-driven advocacy initiatives aimed at shaping climate resilience across the region.

Youth and youth-led organisations actively engaged in climate action are encouraged to submit their applications before 22 May 2026.
