Participants in the fellowship gain access to intensive training sessions focused on leadership, sustainability, and social innovation. They also have the opportunity to mentor other young leaders, thereby strengthening their leadership capacity while creating wider impact in their communities. The programme provides access to masterclasses, networking opportunities, and a global alumni community of changemakers.
Additionally, selected fellows may receive support for implementing their own community or social innovation projects, including the possibility of micro-grants to bring their ideas to life. The fellowship also offers long-term engagement opportunities through the OML alumni network, allowing participants to continue collaborating and growing beyond the programme duration.

Eligibility Criteria
The OML MENA Fellowship is specifically targeted at young leaders from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Applicants are expected to be individuals who are actively engaged or interested in social impact, sustainability, or community development initiatives within their countries. Candidates must demonstrate a strong passion for creating positive change and a willingness to lead and mentor others throughout the fellowship journey.
Applicants should typically be between the ages of 18 and 40 at the time of application and must be able to commit fully to the programme, including attending online sessions and participating in all phases of the fellowship. Since the programme is conducted virtually, participants must have reliable internet access. Proficiency in English or Arabic is required to effectively engage in the training sessions and collaborative activities.

This fellowship is open to applicants from the MENA region, which includes countries such as:
Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
In simple terms, only applicants from Middle East and North Africa countries are eligible, meaning applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa (including Uganda) are not eligible for this specific MENA programme unless they hold nationality or residency in a MENA country.
