Participants in the ROGEAP ASPIRE program will receive comprehensive, fully funded training in solar photovoltaic (PV) installation at certified training centers. Women participants benefit from 100% subsidized certification, while selected men receive up to 70% subsidized certification support. Fellows gain hands-on practical experience, mentorship from industry experts, and access to the off-grid solar energy market across the ECOWAS region and the Sahel. Beyond technical skills, participants will develop professional networks, career readiness, and the opportunity to join a growing community of clean energy professionals. The certification enhances employability and opens pathways to regional mobility and sustainable career opportunities in renewable energy.

The ROGEAP ASPIRE Solar Installer Certification 2025 program is open to motivated young professionals, students, and entrepreneurs from West Africa and the Sahel who are committed to building a career in the renewable energy sector. Eligible applicants must be physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under challenging outdoor conditions. They should hold a valid government-issued ID and possess a technical or professional diploma in renewable energy, electrical engineering, or a related field, or be currently enrolled in a technical or vocational school. The program targets electricians, operators in the photovoltaic solar value chain, students, and entrepreneurs seeking to enter or expand their role in the off-grid solar energy market. Selected participants must be willing to fully engage in all training and practical certification activities and demonstrate a keen interest in contributing to the growth of clean energy in the region.
