Program Benefits

Selected startups will participate in a structured incubation programme delivered by leading African incubators. Participants will receive mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, gain access to the SIGMA digital platform, become part of a continent-wide network of founders and ecosystem partners, receive investment readiness support, and access future acceleration programmes and early-stage investment opportunities. The programme is designed to help startups strengthen their business models, expand their market reach, and increase their long-term sustainability. (⁠UNDP)

Eligibility Criteria

The programme is open to startups that are based in Africa and are developing innovative solutions related to education, training, or skills development. Applicants must have at least a working prototype that can be tested or deployed in a real-world environment and must have a committed team ready to participate fully in the incubation programme. UNDP especially encourages applications from women-led startups, startups from rural communities, and ventures that incorporate local languages or accessibility features into their products. (⁠UNDP)

Eligible Countries

Applications are open to startups from all African countries. Any startup legally operating within Africa and meeting the programme requirements is encouraged to apply, regardless of its country of origin. (⁠UNDP)
