Applications are open for the UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026, a prestigious global photography competition that celebrates the impact of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in transforming lives and communities. Program Benefits

Successful participants stand a chance to win attractive cash prizes. The first-place winner will receive USD 750, the second-place winner will receive USD 500, and the third-place winner will receive USD 350. In addition to the monetary awards, winners will receive official UNESCO-UNEVOC certificates recognizing their achievements.

Winning photographs will also be featured across UNESCO-UNEVOC’s digital communication channels and published on its official platforms, giving participants significant international exposure. The competition offers photographers an opportunity to contribute to global conversations surrounding education, sustainability, innovation, and workforce development while enhancing their professional portfolios and visibility.

Eligibility Criteria

pplicants must be at least 18 years old and may come from any country around the world. Both amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to apply, provided they hold the copyright and ownership of the photographs they submit. Participants are allowed to submit a maximum of four photographs, with only one photograph permitted per competition category. Submitted images must be original works and should accurately represent the theme selected by the applicant.

Photographs must meet the technical requirements set by UNESCO-UNEVOC. Images should be submitted in JPEG format and have a minimum size of 3,000 pixels on their longest side. Minor edits such as cropping or colour adjustments are allowed if disclosed during submission. However, AI-generated or AI-enhanced images, watermarks, logos, signatures, and photo collages are strictly prohibited. Applicants are also required to provide a title, a brief description of no more than 75 words, and details indicating where and when the photograph was taken.

The UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026 is open to applicants from all countries worldwide.
