FULLY FUNDED: Apply for The UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026 – Republic of Korea

Applications are open for the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026, organised by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre as part of the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee. The Forum will take place in the Republic of Korea and will bring together emerging heritage professionals from around the world under the theme “World Heritage, Communities and Education: Empowering Youth as Agents of Change.”

This international programme is designed to strengthen the capacities of young professionals working in cultural and natural heritage by equipping them with knowledge, practical skills, and global networks. Participants will engage in interactive workshops, field visits to World Heritage properties, expert discussions, and collaborative learning experiences aimed at advancing sustainable heritage protection and community engagement worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be young professionals working in fields related to cultural or natural heritage, including conservation, archaeology, architecture, urban planning, environmental studies, heritage management, education, or community engagement. Candidates should demonstrate academic or professional background in a relevant discipline and show commitment to the protection, preservation, and promotion of World Heritage. Participants are expected to be actively involved in heritage-related work and able to contribute meaningfully to discussions during the forum. Proficiency in English is typically required as it is the working language of the programme.
