Applications are now open for the 2026 Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship at University of Reading. The programme is designed to support ambitious students who are passionate about sustainability, climate action, and environmental leadership.

The scholarship initiative is among the UK’s largest undergraduate sustainability-focused funding programmes and aims to build a global network of future sustainability leaders from different academic backgrounds.

Scholarship Overview

The University of Reading will offer up to 400 scholarships annually to high-achieving UK and international students enrolling in undergraduate programmes for the 2026/27 academic year.

Successful applicants will receive financial support alongside leadership development opportunities focused on sustainability, climate action, and environmental impact.

Development Opportunities

Students selected for the programme will join a structured development scheme that includes:

• Sustainability-focused lectures and workshops
• Climate leadership training
• Team-based sustainability challenge projects
• Networking and mentoring opportunities

Participants will also maintain a Development and Impact Record throughout their studies to document their learning experiences, sustainability engagement, and future goals.
