The Climate Action and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Fellowship Program has been launched to provide a 12-week transformative journey for 150 to 200 young changemakers across the Arab States.
This hybrid initiative addresses the region's growing climate and disaster challenges by fostering youth-led solutions through immersive learning, innovation labs, and community engagement. Its primary goal is to prepare emerging leaders with the knowledge and support required to build resilient and sustainable communities.
Program Overview
The fellowship is structured into four key phases: Foundational Learning, Innovation Living Lab, Hackathon for Climate Solutions, and Sustainable Impact through Funding.
- Participants engage in expert-led sessions that blend online learning with hands-on workshops.
- The program emphasizes practical innovation, human-centered design, and collaborative community projects.
- Fellows gain access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and ongoing support for high-impact projects.

Additional Information
This opportunity is open to young changemakers who:
* Are 18 to 30 years old
* Reside in any Arab country
* Have a keen interest or practical experience in climate action, disaster risk reduction (DRR), or community development
* Come from a range of disciplines, including environmental science, technology, business, engineering, and social sciences
* Are driven to address climate challenges within their communities
* Have or are willing to develop skills in project management, innovation, and community engagement
* Preference may be given to those from areas particularly affected by climate change or disasters.

Eligibility for Team Applicants
Eligible groups include:
* Youth-led NGOs, student groups, social enterprises, or informal collectives
* Teams presenting innovative ideas that merge climate action with disaster risk reduction
* Groups that are not currently benefiting from other grants or fellowships
* Each team must appoint a primary applicant who meets the individual eligibility requirements.
