Applications are open for the Mental Health Leadership Programme by Africa CDC.
Strong leadership plays a crucial role in transforming mental health systems across Africa.
Through its Mental Health Leadership Programme, the initiative is equipping mental health practitioners, public health professionals, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders with the tools to drive impactful change.
In partnership with the University of Ibadan, a new cohort of the Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Course is being launched.
This course is led by prominent African and international experts and aims to build the capacity of professionals to enhance mental health leadership and advocacy throughout the continent.
A Leadership in Mental Health training is scheduled to take place from August 11 to 22, 2025, at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.
This course is part of the Africa CDC’s Mental Health Leadership Programme (MHLP), a flagship three-year initiative focused on building the capacity of professionals in public mental health. The program aims to develop the expertise needed to shape mental health policies, legislation, and practices across all tiers of the healthcare system.
To be considered, applicants must complete the registration form and indicate whether they are seeking a scholarship (via Africa CDC) or planning to self-fund their participation.
