Applications are open for the 2026–2027 edition of the Women’s Peace Leadership Programme, an initiative delivered by the OSCE Gender Issues Programme under the broader framework of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

This one-year programme is designed to support women professionals working at the intersection of peacebuilding, security, and digital innovation. The current edition places a strong emphasis on how digital tools can be applied to strengthen peace processes and democratic resilience.

Format: Online learning + in-person training in Vienna

About the Programme

The Women’s Peace Leadership Programme aims to equip participants with practical skills, leadership capabilities, and professional networks needed to navigate today’s evolving security landscape.

Up to 20 women professionals will be selected from across OSCE participating States and partner countries. The programme combines virtual learning with a one-week, in-person training session in Austria.

Participants will engage in a tailored learning journey shaped partly by their own professional needs, ensuring relevance to real-world challenges in peacebuilding and security.

Programme Structure

The programme is designed to run over a full year and includes:

• Six online workshops (approximately two hours each)

• Six community of practice sessions

• One week of intensive, in-person training in Austria

• Continuous mentorship and networking activities
