FULLY FUNDED TO COP31, TÜRKIYE: Apply for the Climate Law Boot Camp 2026 for Indian changemakers

Applications are now open for the Climate Law Boot Camp 2026, a dynamic six-month hybrid fellowship aimed at shaping the next generation of legal professionals engaged in climate action. Hosted by Enact Earth Foundation in collaboration with the World’s Youth for Climate Justice – India National Front, this initiative responds to the growing reality that climate change is not only an environmental concern, but also a matter of constitutional law, corporate accountability, and human rights. Designed as an action-oriented learning experience, the program moves beyond conventional classroom teaching by bringing together 40 selected participants to collaborate in mentor-guided groups, develop impactful legal research, and contribute to policy-focused solutions that will be featured in a national-level publication, alongside a final in-person gathering.

The program invites applications from individuals below the age of 35 who have a legal background and a strong interest in addressing climate challenges. Eligible applicants include final-year law students from both three-year LL.B. and five-year integrated programs, postgraduate students, PhD scholars, early-career lawyers working in firms or as advocates, in-house counsel, researchers, legal consultants within civil society, early-career academics, and professionals engaged in legal policy. Applicants must be Indian nationals and should have access to a functional laptop, a reliable internet connection, and the ability to commit to the full six-month duration, including participation in the final in-person events.

The selection process is designed to reflect diversity and inclusion, with a strong emphasis on ensuring balanced representation, including at least 50 percent participation from women and LGBTQI+ individuals. Key dates include an application deadline of May 5, 2026, with results expected by May 25, followed by program induction on June 5. The fellowship will run from June through October 2026, with selected participants having the opportunity to engage with COP31 in November. The program will conclude with an in-person finale and participation in the Justicemakers Mela in Bengaluru toward the end of November.

As this is the inaugural edition of the Climate Law Boot Camp, all sessions and application processes will be conducted in English due to the technical nature of the subject matter. However, the organizers acknowledge the importance of broader language access and intend to explore multilingual options in future editions.
