FULLY FUNDED TO GERMANY : Apply for these BIGSAS Scholarships for African Women Scholars 2024 now!

BIGSAS is offering scholarships for African women scholars in 2024. They invite talented scholars based in Africa to join their international community. These scholarships are part of the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). BIGSAS will nominate candidates who successfully pass their application process, and the final selection will be done by the DAAD. The scholarships, which can last up to four years, start in October 2024 at the earliest. Applicants need a strong Master's or equivalent degree obtained within the last six years. They should not have lived in Germany for more than fifteen months when nominated. While applications can be in German, English, or French, BIGSAS primarily uses English. BIGSAS provides a structured framework, mentorship, and expertise for pursuing a doctorate in African studies. It's not a regular funding program, so suitability depends on the applicant's research plans aligning with BIGSAS's focus. Check their academic disciplines and research interests to see if it's a good fit.
