FULLY FUNDED TO OTTAWA, CANADA: Apply for the 2026 Environmental Peacebuilding Association (EnPAx) Conference Fellows Program 2026

Applications are open for the 2026 Environmental Peacebuilding Association (EnPAx) Conference Fellows Program, an initiative designed to equip emerging professionals with essential skills and provide financial support to attend the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding in Ottawa, Canada. This program seeks to empower students, early-career researchers, and young practitioners to actively contribute to the fast-growing discipline of environmental peacebuilding.

Through the Fellowship, EnPAx continues its mission to make opportunities in this field more inclusive and accessible, particularly for individuals from underrepresented and resource-limited backgrounds. The program combines both virtual and in-person components, offering participants professional training, mentorship, and meaningful networking experiences.

Fellows will take part in a range of online activities that encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange. These include interactive workshops, thematic discussions, and dialogues with leading experts exploring real-life cases of how environmental management can foster peace and stability. Participants will also undergo an intensive, in-person training at the University of Ottawa, designed to strengthen their ability to plan, organize, and manage projects that integrate environmental sustainability with peacebuilding practices.

The program also supports participants in producing concise, policy-relevant research papers under expert supervision, helping them develop their academic and professional writing skills. The Fellowship culminates in the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding, where selected Fellows will be recognized within the conference program, take part in exclusive networking events, and engage with global leaders and organizations working at the intersection of environment and peace.

To qualify for the 2026 EnPAx Fellowship, applicants must be emerging professionals with a demonstrated interest in environmental peacebuilding. They should possess a valid passport and be able to travel to Canada in June 2026, as in-person participation is mandatory. Fellows must be available for a week-long intensive program from June 12 to 19, 2026, and willing to carry out additional activities in July.

Interested individuals can learn more and submit their applications via the official application form. The deadline for all submissions is November 15, 2025. For questions regarding the program or the application process, applicants may contact Dr. Becca Farnum at becca.environmentalpeace@gmail.com.

This Fellowship offers a rare opportunity for young professionals to gain practical experience, expand their networks, and develop the skills needed to lead innovative initiatives that link environmental stewardship with peacebuilding efforts across diverse global contexts.
