FUNDED : Apply for the France Embassy Uganda Local Scholarship 2026–2027 

Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 France Embassy Uganda Local Scholarship, an initiative by the Embassy of France in Uganda and Campus France Uganda to support talented Ugandan students pursuing undergraduate studies in French Language.

The scholarship is designed to assist motivated students with strong academic potential and demonstrated financial need who plan to enroll in a Bachelor's degree in French Language Studies at a recognized university in Uganda. The programme forms part of the French Embassy's efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and promote the study of the French language across the country.

Program Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
- Be Ugandan citizens or legal residents of Uganda.

- Hold a Ugandan Advanced Level (A-Level) Certificate or an equivalent qualification.

- Secure admission to a recognized Ugandan university offering a Bachelor's degree in French Language Studies.

- Demonstrate genuine financial need and strong motivation to pursue studies in French.

- Commit to studying in Uganda for the full duration of the programme.

Required Application Documents

Applicants are required to submit:

- A copy of a valid National ID.

- A one-page Curriculum Vitae (CV).

- A one-page motivation or cover letter.

- A copy of the Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (or equivalent qualification).

- Documents demonstrating financial need, such as scholarship records, payslips, or bank statements of the applicant or parents/guardians.

- Admission letter from a recognized Ugandan university (to be submitted once admission has been secured).
