FUNDED : Apply for the MGG Academy 2026 Training Programme (Bonn, Germany)
Applications are now open for the Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy 2026, an international training and dialogue programme hosted by the German Institute for Development and Sustainability (IDOS). The Academy will run from 11 September to 29 November 2026 in Bonn, Germany.
This prestigious programme brings together early- to mid-career professionals working in global governance, sustainable development, research, policy, civil society, media, and the private sector. Participants join a global alumni network of more than 470 professionals from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, and the European Union.
About the Programme
The MGG Academy is designed to strengthen knowledge, leadership, and practical skills for addressing complex global challenges. Through interactive learning, leadership development, and collaborative projects, participants gain the tools to shape sustainable solutions and foster international cooperation.
The programme focuses on three key areas:

Knowledge: Understanding global sustainability challenges, governance systems, and policy dynamics.

Leadership: Developing personal and collective leadership skills, communication, and collaboration capacities.

Action: Working in diverse teams to design and implement sustainability-focused projects.

Financial Support
-The programme is free of charge and includes:
- Accommodation in Germany
- Monthly living allowance (total of €2,200 paid in instalments)
- Health, accident, and liability insurance
- Public transport ticket
- Programme-related travel within Germany and Europe
Note: International travel to Germany must be covered by the employer..
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree
- Have 3–15 years of professional experience in global governance or sustainable development
-Demonstrate strong English proficiency
- Receive formal support from their employer
- Be available for full-time participation during the programme period
Employers are expected to grant study leave, cover travel costs, and support knowledge transfer after the programme
