Applications are now open for the Women in Soccer Scholarship 2026, a fully funded opportunity offered through a partnership between The Football Business Academy (The FBA) and Women in Soccer (WIS). The scholarship is designed to support aspiring women leaders who are passionate about building successful careers in the global football industry.

The selected scholar will receive a full tuition scholarship worth CHF 30,000 to study in the Professional Master in Football Business, beginning in September 2026. The programme combines academic learning, practical industry experience, and international networking to prepare participants for leadership roles across the football sector.

Beyond financial support, the scholarship offers access to one of the world's leading postgraduate football business programmes, a guaranteed three-month internship with an industry partner, and membership in an international alumni network representing professionals from more than 80 countries.

Required Application Documents

Applicants must submit:

  • An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Academic transcripts, certificates, or evidence of relevant professional experience.
  • A valid passport or national identification document.
  • A motivation letter (1,000–1,500 words) outlining career goals, reasons for joining the programme, the impact of the scholarship, and why they should be selected.
  • Evidence of financial need.
  • Proof of Women in Soccer membership.

Programme Structure

The Professional Master in Football Business includes:

  • Six months of online academic learning delivered by leading football industry experts.
  • A guaranteed three-month internship with a football organization.
  • Two months of on-campus learning in Lisbon, featuring networking events, collaborative projects, and immersive industry experiences.
  • Lifetime access to The FBA's international alumni network and professional community.

Selection Process

Applications will be assessed through a competitive review process that considers:

  • Academic and professional achievements.
  • Leadership potential and motivation.
  • Demonstrated financial need.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview before the final scholarship recipient is selected.

The deadline to submit applications is 15 August 2026. Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome by 21 August 2026.
