Funding of up to USD 2,500 : Apply for the True Blue Fellowship 2027 for Youth-Led Creative Environmental Projects

Applications are now open for the True Blue Fellowship 2027, an international opportunity supporting young changemakers who use creativity and the arts to address environmental challenges in their communities. The fellowship is designed for emerging youth-led initiatives focused on protecting oceans, waterways, and the climate through innovative artistic approaches.

Organized by Bow Seat, the program combines financial support, mentorship, peer learning, and leadership development to help young environmental advocates transform creative ideas into lasting community impact.

About the Fellowship

The True Blue Fellowship is more than a funding opportunity. It serves as an incubator for youth environmental leadership by helping participants strengthen projects that combine creative expression with climate and environmental action.

Each year, the fellowship selects 12 young leaders from around the world to receive financial support and professional development while working on community-based environmental initiatives.

Projects are expected to run for approximately one year, from January through December, and should promote meaningful environmental engagement through the creative arts.

Eligible Projects

Proposed initiatives should:

  • Use creative arts as the primary tool for environmental awareness or action.
  • Address issues related to oceans, waterways, or climate change.
  • Engage local communities through collaboration and participation.
  • Deliver measurable benefits for both communities and the environment.

Projects may explore a wide range of environmental and social justice themes, reflecting the connections between people, ecosystems, culture, and climate.

Why Apply?

The True Blue Fellowship provides emerging environmental leaders with the resources, mentorship, and international network needed to expand the reach of their projects. Participants become part of a global community committed to using creativity as a powerful tool for environmental protection and climate action.
