Applications are now open for the Leading Minds Climate Education Fellowship — a global opportunity for young innovators who are reshaping how the world understands and responds to the climate crisis. This program invites passionate individuals to help redefine climate learning so that every child, in every part of the world, grows up informed, empowered, and equipped to build a fair and sustainable future.

Selected fellows will join an international cohort of youth leaders who are driving change through research, policy engagement, strategic dialogues, and community-rooted climate education efforts. Those chosen will also be eligible to receive up to $20,000 in grant support to strengthen and expand their initiatives.

They are searching for up to twelve young changemakers between the ages of 10 and 30 who are actively advancing climate learning in formal or informal environments. Eligible initiatives may take many forms, including integrating climate topics into school systems, collaborating with government bodies, promoting justice-oriented and rights-based approaches, building community resilience through local education efforts, or using digital media to spark awareness and action. Any youth-led project that helps people understand, respond to, or act on the climate crisis is welcome.

Throughout the fellowship, participants will deepen and document the impact of their climate education work, contribute to youth-driven research and future thinking, help influence policy, and participate in national and global conversations. Fellows will also help co-create gatherings and resources that strengthen education systems worldwide.

Those selected will receive a stipend during the fellowship, personalized guidance from experts, opportunities for public visibility, practical experience in advocacy and child rights, and access to an international network of young leaders. Each fellow may also receive up to $20,000 in funding to support their project.

Young people aged 10 to 30 who are leading or representing a climate education effort, committed to climate action, able to contribute four to five hours each week from February 2026 to July 2027, and comfortable working in English are encouraged to apply.
