Applications are now open for the 2025 Expo City Dubai Global Innovators Programme, an initiative that continues Expo 2020 Dubai’s legacy through the Expo City Dubai Foundation. The programme reflects their long-term dedication to backing ideas that generate meaningful social, economic, and environmental progress. Built on the belief that impact-driven entrepreneurship is both a worthwhile investment and a catalyst for transformative change, the Global Innovators Programme offers a blend of financial support, innovation challenges, and shared learning opportunities to forward-thinking creators.

Over the years, the Expo City Dubai Foundation has brought together a diverse network of changemakers through its Global Innovators Programme. Hundreds of entrepreneurs have collaborated under this platform, forming a community of ambitious and socially conscious innovators. With more than 190 projects across over 85 countries, their collective work has already improved the lives of more than 5.8 million people around the world.

For its eighth edition, the Foundation is looking for mission-driven enterprises that are developing groundbreaking solutions to combat extreme heat–a growing threat intensified by climate change. Extreme temperatures are becoming a major driver of humanitarian emergencies and are making disaster response more difficult. Hotter climates can spark drought, heighten food shortages, displace communities, and worsen conditions in informal settlements. Rising heat also disrupts vital services such as healthcare, food preservation, clean water access, and energy systems that are already under pressure.

The programme is designed for social enterprises and startups committed to addressing social, environmental, or humanitarian challenges. Eligible applicants must have at least a working prototype, be formally registered (not operating as sole-founder entities), and actively work in or focus on regions within the Global South.

Successful innovators stand to gain financial awards of up to USD 100,000 for each selected project. Participants also benefit from international visibility, access to new business and collaboration opportunities, and the chance to build partnerships that can accelerate their impact.
