The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a Fisheries and Aquaculture Officer (P-4) to join its Subregional Office for the Pacific Islands in Apia, Samoa. This professional-level appointment offers a two-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension, and provides an opportunity to contribute to sustainable fisheries management and climate-smart aquaculture development across the Pacific region.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should hold an advanced university degree in fisheries economics, marine affairs, fisheries management, aquaculture development or a related discipline. A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience in sustainable fisheries or aquaculture management, governance, data systems or related areas is required. Proficiency in English is essential, along with working knowledge of another FAO official language.
- Experience working in developing countries, particularly in field-based contexts, as well as strong coordination and communication skills, will be advantageous.
