The Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) is a youth-led, gender-balanced nonprofit dedicated to environmental sustainability, climate action, and empowering young people. Established in 2014, the organization seeks to inspire individuals to align their lifestyles with the principles of nature, fostering a culture of living in harmony with the environment.

GAYO’s core objective is to promote a sustainable relationship between humans and the natural systems they rely on, ensuring each element is treated with care and long-term responsibility. Since its inception, GAYO has engaged in a broad range of initiatives including climate change advocacy, waste management, disaster risk reduction, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy awareness.

Through collaborations with both local and international partners, the organization has spearheaded numerous campaigns and events aimed at promoting clean energy, sustainable living, and the protection of ecosystems.

Mission

Its mission is to conduct research and develop practical solutions to critical environmental challenges, with a focus on youth engagement and public education.

Interviews are held on a rolling basis until a suitable candidate is selected.
