Applications are open for the African Union Commission Chairperson’s Youth Envoy position. The African Union Commission (AUC) is seeking to appoint the third Chairperson’s Youth Envoy to champion the voices, interests, and aspirations of young people across Africa. Working closely with the Women, Gender and Youth Directorate (WGYD), the Youth Envoy will serve as a high-level advocate for youth participation, facilitate dialogue between African youth and AU leadership, and promote the implementation of continental youth policies and commitments under Agenda 2063.
The successful candidate will play a strategic role in mobilizing partnerships, strengthening youth engagement in governance and policymaking, promoting youth leadership, and ensuring that the perspectives of young Africans are reflected in the African Union’s programmes and initiatives.
