Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO) is seeking a Communications Manager to lead its communications strategy and support the organization’s advocacy efforts in promoting sustainability and youth leadership across Africa.

As a Communications Manager at GAYO, you will be at the heart of the organization's public relations, media management, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement efforts. Your leadership and strategic vision will help amplify GAYO’s impact on climate change, ensuring youth voices are heard on regional, national, and global platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• External Communications: Develop and execute strategies for media campaigns, manage relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets, and represent GAYO as a spokesperson in public and media engagements.
• Public Relations & Media Management: Ensure GAYO’s voice is amplified through impactful PR campaigns, and strategically position the organization as a thought leader in climate action and youth leadership.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with program teams to craft compelling success stories, manage communication with donors and partners, and ensure high-quality communication materials are created for stakeholders.
• Internal Communications: Foster alignment and transparency within the organization through effective internal communications and knowledge-sharing platforms. Train staff on best practices for consistent messaging.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze communication outcomes, track campaign performance, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
