Join the GX Africa Ambassadors Programme (Across Africa)
GX Africa is inviting applications for its next cohort of Green Ambassadors, a pan-African youth programme designed for students and early graduates who are passionate about climate action, green innovation, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
The programme brings together young people from across Africa to build practical skills, expand professional networks, and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s green transition through hands-on learning and outreach.
About the Programme
GX Africa Ambassadors take part in a three-month learning and impact journey that combines climate education, digital tools, and community engagement. The programme is structured around practical challenges that encourage participants to apply what they learn in real-world contexts, particularly within their own countries and communities.
The first cohort included ambassadors from eight African countries who contributed policy insights, youth-friendly climate content, and outreach initiatives. Building on that momentum, GX Africa is now expanding the programme to include more young leaders from across the continent.
What Ambassadors Will Do
Selected ambassadors will engage in three core challenges:

AI for Climate Learning
Participants will use AI and digital tools to simplify national climate or environmental policy documents into clear, youth-friendly content that can be shared and used by young people. -
10×10 Climate Outreach Challenge
Ambassadors will help grow the GX Africa Network by connecting at least 10 new members in their country, with a focus on reaching underrepresented and underserved communities. -
Green Learning and Knowledge Sharing
Participants will complete free online courses related to climate action, green jobs, sustainability, or AI for good, and share insights from their learning through social media and digital platforms.
Time Commitment
Ambassadors are expected to commit approximately three hours per week over a period of three months, making the programme flexible alongside studies or work.

Experience in content creation or using AI tools is an advantage but not required.
