Applications are open for the Global Fellows in Courage (GFiC) program, a transformative six-month accelerator designed to support social entrepreneurs advocating for human rights and gender justice. This prestigious fellowship, conducted online via Zoom, provides emerging leaders with the tools, networks, and financial support needed to amplify their impact on a global scale. The program is run in partnership with the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at Brown University, ensuring participants receive world-class knowledge and mentorship.

Selected fellows will gain access to a cutting-edge curriculum, engaging in interactive learning sessions twice a month. The program fosters a dynamic international network of changemakers, allowing participants to build meaningful connections with fellow human rights leaders and experts. Graduates of the fellowship remain part of an esteemed alumni community, benefiting from lifelong access to resources, opportunities, and collaborations that support their advocacy efforts.

To recognize their dedication and commitment, each fellow who successfully completes the program will receive a $2,500 stipend. Additionally, those who complete the fellowship will become eligible to apply for grants of up to $10,000, providing crucial funding to advance their social impact initiatives. Fellows will also be awarded a certificate of completion from GFiC and Brown University’s Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies, further enhancing their credentials in the field of human rights and social entrepreneurship.

The program seeks outstanding individuals between the ages of 25 and 35 who have demonstrated leadership and a commitment to human rights advocacy. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in activism, community organizing, or social entrepreneurship, with a proven track record in gender justice or related fields. While exceptions may be made, applicants must possess a strong command of the English language to participate effectively in discussions and activities.

Those accepted into the fellowship must be prepared to dedicate time to the program, ensuring active engagement in all sessions, assignments, and coaching opportunities. Fellows will participate in two three-hour live Zoom sessions each month, where they will engage in skill-building, real-world case studies, and interactive discussions. In addition, participants will be required to complete pre-session materials, including video content, readings, and short assignments, amounting to approximately 4-6 hours of additional learning per month. Throughout the program, fellows will also work on a personal or professional project, applying the insights gained from the fellowship to create tangible change in their respective communities. The program culminates in a final session where participants present their projects and demonstrate their progress.

One-on-one and group coaching sessions will be available throughout the fellowship, providing tailored guidance and support to help participants refine their strategies and scale their initiatives. Maintaining active participation is essential, as failure to meet program commitments may result in ineligibility for the grant funding opportunity.
