Pre COP30 : Apply for the 2025 Global Health and Climate Conference

Applications are open for the 2025 Global Health and Climate Conference.

The 2025 Global Health and Climate Conference is scheduled to take place in Brasília from July 29 to 31. This high-level event will convene participants from a wide range of sectors to explore how equitable and bold climate policies—especially those implemented at national, regional, and community levels—can simultaneously improve public health outcomes.

The gathering aligns with the objectives of COP30, which Brazil will host in November 2025, and seeks to embed health and social equity into the core of climate policy discussions.

A key outcome of the Conference will be the unveiling of the Belém Health Action Plan, a comprehensive framework that defines the contributions of the health sector in building climate-resilient and fair systems. To advance this agenda, the event will feature an Ideas Lab—an inclusive, collaborative platform that encourages the sharing of creative solutions, promotes dialogue across disciplines, and supports action-oriented conversations at the climate-health interface. This space aims to spotlight innovative ideas, amplify underheard perspectives, and inform health-focused outcomes at COP30.

The Ideas Lab will serve as a dynamic forum for exchanging knowledge, practices, and policy insights that enhance health system resilience in the face of climate change. The sessions are intended to spark cross-sector collaboration and present adaptable solutions that reflect the realities of diverse geographic and institutional settings.

Objectives of the Ideas Lab:

  • Encourage forward-thinking, evidence-based dialogue on climate and health;

  • Showcase novel practices, including Indigenous knowledge, youth-driven initiatives, and tech-enabled solutions;

  • Facilitate meaningful interaction between governments, NGOs, academia, multilateral bodies, and the private sector;

  • Provide substantive input to shape and implement the Belém Health Action Plan;

  • Contribute directly to the health discussions and outcomes of COP30 and beyond.

Deadline for proposal submission is June 10. Interested individuals or organizations can apply through the designated online forms.
