Remote Job Opportunity : ClimateWorks Foundation is hiring a Senior Coordinator – Food & Agriculture and Funder Engagement

🧩 About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of two key program areas: the Food & Agriculture Program and the Funder Collaborations Department. The Senior Coordinator will lead the coordination and planning of online and in-person convenings, communications, and collaborative projects aimed at strengthening climate philanthropy in the food and agriculture space.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role best suited for someone with excellent project management abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and an appreciation for behind-the-scenes leadership work. The successful candidate will support key global convenings and coordinate high-level engagements with climate funders and stakeholders.

Opportunity: Senior Coordinator – Food & Agriculture and Funder Engagement (12-Month Remote Role, U.S.-Based)

Hosted by: ClimateWorks Foundation
Duration: 12-month contract (with possible extension based on funding and need)
Location: Remote (United States); some travel required
Time Zones: Preferably 2–4 hours of overlap with Pacific and Central European Time zones
Compensation:

  • $90,000–$95,000 annually (Bay Area/NYC)
  • $85,000–$90,000 annually (other U.S. regions)

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Food & Agriculture (50%)

  • Support the development of a connected network of climate funders focused on agriculture and food systems.
  • Organize thematic meetings, both virtual and physical, including agenda planning, logistics, communications, and follow-up.
  • Maintain and update funder contact databases and invite lists.
  • Identify trends, interests, and potential collaborations among funders for future coordination.

Funder Collaborations (50%)

  • Assist in organizing two to three large international convenings annually, including session design, coordination with VIP speakers, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure cross-team planning and follow-up for meetings, including documentation, note-taking, and tracking action items.
  • Support creation of preparatory reading materials, logistical planning, and post-event communications.

✅ Ideal Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years in senior administrative or project coordination roles, preferably within a philanthropic, nonprofit, or climate-focused organization.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, meeting planning, scheduling, and follow-up processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including comfort engaging high-level professionals and international partners.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and project management platforms (Salesforce, Asana, Cvent preferred).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 days per year within the U.S. and internationally.
