The 2025 edition of the UN Human Rights Council’s Social Forum will welcome youth participants to contribute their perspectives and energy to critical conversations shaping the future of education worldwide.

The event is scheduled for October 30th and 31st, 2025, and will be held at the iconic Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. This year’s discussions will center on how education can serve as a foundation for the realization and protection of universal human rights across all communities.

This experience offers an invaluable chance to engage directly in high-level discussions with global decision-makers and advocates. As a youth participant, you’ll amplify the voices of young people in reimagining education systems that are fair, inclusive, and grounded in respect for human dignity. It’s also a powerful platform to build relationships with activists, policy experts, and civil society organizations from across the globe. Beyond the main sessions, you’ll be able to take part in collaborative advocacy efforts, side meetings, and strategy workshops designed to drive real impact.

Young people below the age of 30 are encouraged to apply, especially those who are passionate about educational reform, defending human rights, or pushing for social transformation. While previous involvement in community work, advocacy, or youth-led initiatives is not mandatory, it is certainly an asset.
