Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 edition of the Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, a transformative initiative created to empower rising global leaders with essential tools to foster intercultural understanding and promote inclusive dialogue. This prestigious programme aims to develop a new wave of visionary changemakers dedicated to advancing social harmony, conflict resolution, and global citizenship through innovative local and international solutions. In its inaugural year, the theme focuses on “Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future,” emphasizing the use of dialogue as a bridge to strengthen social ties in increasingly mobile and diverse societies.

This dynamic leadership journey invites driven individuals from around the world to become part of an international network of youth ambassadors for peace and cohesion. Participants will embark on an enriching experience that combines virtual leadership training, interactive learning, and real-world project execution. Alongside intensive personal and professional development, selected applicants will benefit from direct mentorship, strategic coaching, and global visibility, helping them to scale impact and drive meaningful change in their communities.

Participants will take part in comprehensive intercultural leadership training designed to sharpen their expertise in collaboration, project development, and sustainable peacebuilding. Through immersive online workshops, live coaching, and continuous learning platforms, they will gain cutting-edge knowledge and actionable strategies to lead effective community-based initiatives. The programme also fosters peer exchange, enabling youth leaders to learn from each other, build meaningful relationships, and develop solutions together.

In addition to knowledge acquisition, selected youth leaders will be awarded financial support in the form of a $10,000 grant to implement a community-based project that resonates with the programme’s core theme. These initiatives must demonstrate the ability to cultivate dialogue, promote unity, and address challenges arising from cultural diversity and migration, with clear, measurable outcomes achievable within six months.

By joining this global movement, participants gain lifetime access to an exclusive alumni community that promotes long-term collaboration and mutual learning. They will also be invited to contribute to international peacebuilding forums such as the Global Youth Dialogue for Peace, where they can engage with decision-makers, advocate for policy changes, and showcase successful initiatives. Eligible candidates must be between 25 and 45 years old as of September 1, 2025, and should demonstrate a history of impactful leadership and commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue. Ideal applicants will possess a strong track record of community engagement and show potential to implement impactful solutions within a local or national framework. Full participation in all programme phases is required to ensure effective implementation and capacity-building outcomes.
