Mobility for Climate Policy, an emerging international think tank, has opened applications for volunteer positions across its governance, programs, and operations teams. The organization focuses on strengthening climate mobility governance through evidence-based research, policy capacity development, and cross-regional collaboration.

Working across the Global South and Global North, Mobility for Climate Policy connects academic research, community perspectives, and policy dialogue to reflect the diverse realities of climate mobility, including displacement, voluntary migration, and immobility linked to climate change.

Available Volunteer Roles

The think tank is currently recruiting volunteers for the following categories:

• Board of Directors

• Manager-level positions

• Assistant-level positions

All roles are fully remote and designed for individuals who can commit 3–5 hours per week for a period of one year.

Organizational Structure

Mobility for Climate Policy is structured around several core units:

• Governance Unit – Executive leadership and strategic oversight

• Programs Unit – Research, policy development, events, and monitoring & evaluation

• Finance & Administration Unit – Grants, fundraising, HR, and operations

• Partnerships & Communications Unit – Outreach, partnerships, communications, design, and digital engagement

Each unit includes lead and assistant roles, offering opportunities for both experienced professionals and early-career contributors.

Board Member Requirement

Applicants interested in Board of Directors positions must have a registered address in Canada and hold permanent residency or citizenship.
