With over USD 600K in grant funding : Apply for the Standard Chartered Futuremakers Women in Tech Program

Applications are open for the The Women in Tech initiative, part of the Futuremakers program by Standard Chartered, which is dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs who are leading tech-based ventures with a social impact. This program is active across ten countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Pakistan, with the goal of helping startups led by women grow and succeed.

Village Capital plays a key role by partnering with local organizations in each country. Their support includes offering strategic guidance, technical assistance, and facilitating shared learning to strengthen local implementations of the program.

The ultimate mission is to support 360 women-led startups in tackling the social, economic, and cultural challenges that hinder their growth — while also contributing to job creation in their respective communities.

Local Program Partners Include:

  • Innovate for Bahrain – Driving inclusive innovation and entrepreneurship in Bahrain.
  • The Dream Factory
  • AUC Venture Lab
  • Ghana Climate Innovation Center (GCIC)
  • iBizAfrica
