Youth Climate Convening Grant: Submit proposals

About the Grants
Gatherings are powerful tools for strengthening movements and igniting collective action. They provide opportunities to create new connections, launch innovative projects, reinforce alliances, and build unexpected partnerships. These grants are designed to support youth activists and leaders in the climate and social justice sectors, enabling them to organize gatherings (online or in-person) that promote relationship-building, strategy development, collaboration, and preparedness for future challenges and resilience. The grants will fund activities that encourage exchange, collaboration, and learning, including workshops, training sessions, and strategic discussions.

What Does the Grant Fund?
The grants support gatherings focused on the following activities:

  • Capacity Building: Training, mentoring, coaching, and workshops to enhance skills.
  • Community Building: Sharing best practices, co-creating, and fostering collective action.
  • Networking: Strengthening relationships among organizations tackling similar issues.
  • Partnerships: Creating opportunities for future collaborations.
  • Strategy Development: Developing collective strategies for campaign issues.
  • Resilience and Well-being: Supporting mental, emotional, and physical well-being, particularly for activists, organizers, and marginalized communities working on the frontlines.

In addition, logistical support is provided for convening activities, such as:

  • Travel to youth climate events within the country or region.
  • Venue rentals, catering, sound equipment, and facilitator fees.

What Will Not Be Funded?
This grant will not cover attendance at major global events, including COP, Stockholm50, G7/20, Climate Weeks, etc.
