Apply for the Africa Climate Resilience & Food Security Fellowship ( Fully Funded to Nairobi & Washington, DC)

With the goal of bringing together African entrepreneurs and enabling them to solve climate resilience and food security, Halcyon is happy to announce the opening of applications for the Climate Resilience & Food Security in Africa Fellowship.Upon completion of a one-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, and a one-week in-person residency in Nairobi, Kenya, founders will get expert training and essential tools to accelerate their companies.

Sectors focused on enhancing climate resilience and food security across Africa include, but are not limited to: climate-smart agriculture and food systems, water technology, the blue economy, renewable energy, sustainable building practices, and climate data innovations.

Program Structure

The cohort consists of up to 10 ventures located in or serving any African country. Participants receive training in Halcyon's methodology, covering product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership development. The program includes a virtual kickoff meeting, a one-week residency in Nairobi, Kenya, monthly virtual sessions, and a one-week residency in Washington, DC.

Eligibility Criteria
They are seeking for-profit startups developing scalable solutions to address climate resilience and food security challenges across Africa.

**Requirements include:**
- **Location:** Ventures must be based in or serve any African country.
- **Stage:** Applicants must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with scalability potential and must work full-time on the venture.
- **Team:** You can apply with one co-founder. The applicant must be the CEO or hold primary decision-making authority.
- **Language:** Fluency in English is required.
- **Age:** Applicants must be at least 21 years old by the program’s start.
- **Program Engagement:** Full participation in all activities and sessions is mandatory.
- **Impact:** Ventures must contribute to at least one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
