Meet the following academic and age criteria:
Undergraduate: High school graduate, under 25 years old
Master’s: Bachelor’s degree holder, under 35 years old
Ph.D.: Master’s degree holder, under 40 years old
Have exceptional academic performance and research potential
Not be recipients of other Chinese government scholarships
Meet language proficiency requirements:
For Chinese-taught programs:
HSK 4 (210 points) for Bachelor’s
HSK 5 (180 points) for Master’s
HSK 6 (180 points) for Ph.D.
For English-taught programs:
IELTS (6.0+) or TOEFL (80+) or equivalent English proficiency test results
Completed online application form (available in Chinese or English)
Academic transcripts and certificates
Valid passport or national ID
Two letters of recommendation
Personal statement / Study Plan
Research proposal (for Ph.D. applicants)
