FULLY FUNDED: Apply for JAPAN AFRICA DREAM SCHOLARSHIP (JADS) PROGRAM For African CHANGEMEAKERS
Applications are open for the Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program, a fully funded opportunity for young African professionals to pursue master’s degrees in Japan. The program is a collaboration between the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Japan, aiming to enhance human capacity in Africa by providing advanced education in key development sectors. Selected scholars will study at prestigious Japanese universities in fields such as energy, agriculture, health, environmental sustainability, and engineering. The scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and research grants. Applicants must be 35 years old or younger, hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and have at least one year of paid work experience in Africa within the past three years. The program encourages applications from candidates with a strong commitment to contributing to their home countries’ development upon completion of their studies. The application process involves securing admission to a JADS partner university, after which the university forwards the application to the AfDB for final selection.
