Applications are open for young changemakers to join UNESCO’s Global Youth Community (GYC), a dynamic platform led by youth and designed to unite passionate individuals eager to make a positive difference around the world. This international network encourages collaboration among creative thinkers who want to contribute to a more inclusive, environmentally responsible, and forward-looking future.

By becoming part of the GYC, members gain the opportunity to connect with peers who share similar ambitions, while also accessing mentorship, visibility, and potential support for their initiatives. They can share their accomplishments with a broader audience, elevate the impact of their work, and take part in meaningful conversations that inspire real change. Participants will grow through ongoing learning experiences such as virtual events, skill-building programs, and major global campaigns, all aimed at empowering young voices to shape key global priorities in culture, education, science, sustainability, communication, and social development.

Eligibility is open to individuals aged 18 to 35 who are studying or engaged in professional work across UNESCO’s areas of focus. Youth-run organizations that operate democratically and demonstrate active involvement within their communities are also encouraged to participate. Whether they see themselves as advocates, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, or emerging leaders, anyone with a commitment to creativity and collective problem-solving can find purpose and opportunity within this global community.
