About the Program
The fellowship was inaugurated during the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF in Marrakech, Morocco. It forms part of a broader commitment to equip climate-vulnerable nations with the tools and networks necessary to drive forward resilient and inclusive economic development. Through a robust training curriculum, participants will build their expertise in:

  • Climate-resilient policy planning

  • Domestic resource mobilization

  • Debt sustainability analysis

  • Reforming international financial architecture

  • Carbon finance mechanisms and climate risk management

  • High-level policy negotiation and global advocacy

Fellows will also be introduced to the strategic priorities outlined in the 2024 CVF-V20 Leaders’ Declaration and the 14th V20 Ministerial Dialogue Communique, ensuring alignment with global efforts for climate-aligned financial systems.

Ideal candidates are forward-thinking professionals from ministries or public institutions committed to shaping climate-aligned development strategies and strengthening national financial resilience.
