Apply for the CMCAN’s Climate Mobility Award Program 2025 for young changemakers in Climate Mobility

The Climate Mobility Community Action Network (CMCAN) is currently seeking nominations for its prestigious Climate Mobility Award Program, which aims to spotlight and celebrate the efforts of passionate advocates working at the intersection of climate change and mobility. This initiative is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a meaningful impact in this space, whether within their communities or on a global scale.

CMCAN is looking to recognize between 15 to 20 individuals who have demonstrated dedication and initiative in the field of climate mobility. This includes anyone who has been involved in efforts to address the challenges faced by communities affected by climate-induced displacement, migration, or resettlement. Whether your work involves grassroots advocacy, policy influence, research, youth mobilization, storytelling, or community engagement, this platform offers an opportunity to be acknowledged for your contributions.

The program is open to applicants of all ages and from every corner of the globe. CMCAN values inclusivity and diversity and encourages individuals from different backgrounds and experiences to put themselves forward. To be eligible, candidates should have between six months and two years of experience in climate mobility-related advocacy or activities. They should also have a foundational understanding of the issues at play, including how climate change drives migration and affects vulnerable communities.

Applicants should not only demonstrate some level of experience, but also show a willingness to continue learning and collaborating with others in the field. The award particularly seeks individuals who have stepped into leadership roles—whether locally or internationally—and are using their voices or actions to drive change. These are people who have made efforts, big or small, to protect the planet and its people in the face of environmental challenges that force movement and displacement.

Those selected for this award will receive more than just a certificate. Winners will be featured across CMCAN’s social media channels and official website, giving them the chance to amplify their message and share their advocacy journey with a global audience. It’s a unique opportunity to gain visibility, connect with other changemakers, and build momentum for future initiatives.

If you or someone you know fits this description and is making a difference in the field of climate mobility, don’t miss out on this chance to be recognized. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, July 25th, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. This is your moment to stand out, inspire others, and help shape the future of climate mobility advocacy.
