Apply for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master GLOBE Scholarships 2027–2029: Study Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management

Applications are open for the third edition of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master GLOBE (Global Change Ecology and Biodiversity Management), an international postgraduate programme designed for students interested in biodiversity conservation, ecological change and sustainable environmental management.

The programme is recruiting up to 25 motivated students from around the world for the 2027–2029 cohort. Competitive Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarships are available to eligible candidates, covering participation fees for the full 24-month programme and providing a monthly stipend of €1,400 to support living expenses, accommodation, travel and other costs.

While the programme welcomes applicants of all nationalities, the current recruitment campaign specifically encourages candidates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo to apply.

About the GLOBE Programme

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master GLOBE prepares graduates to understand and respond to the ecological, social, economic and political challenges associated with global environmental change.

The programme brings together students from different academic backgrounds who are interested in biodiversity, conservation practices and environmental management. It offers an international learning environment for developing the knowledge and skills needed to address complex sustainability challenges.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients will receive:

  • Full participation fees: Coverage of programme participation costs throughout the 24-month master's degree.
  • Monthly stipend: €1,400 per month for the full programme duration.
  • Health and accident insurance: Coverage throughout the academic period.
  • Academic opportunities: Access to programme activities, including summer school and joint events.
  • University facilities: Access to libraries, laboratories and other institutional resources.
  • International exposure: Opportunities to study within a joint programme involving partner universities.

The scholarship is awarded competitively to a subset of admitted applicants. Meeting the admission requirements does not automatically guarantee scholarship funding.

Students who do not receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship may explore other Erasmus+ mobility funding schemes and alternative funding opportunities.
