CALLING NORDIC YOUTH; Apply to join the Nordic Youth Climate Academy (NYCA) SB64 Youth Delegation (Bonn, Germany)

Are you passionate about climate action and global policy? The Nordic Youth Climate Academy is inviting applications for its in-person youth delegation to SB64, a major UN climate conference taking place in Bonn, Germany.

๐Ÿ“ About the Program

Selected participants will join NYCAโ€™s delegation to the SB64 UN Climate Conference, held from June 8โ€“18, 2026.

NYCA will select around 8 youth delegates, including project managers, to represent Nordic youth in global climate discussions.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Whatโ€™s Covered

If selected, NYCA will provide:

  • Travel funding (within a set limit)
  • Shared accommodation
  • Daily food stipend

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Who Can Apply

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a member of NYCA (apply via the link provided)
  • Have ties to the Nordic countries

๐Ÿ“Œ Expectations

๐Ÿ”น Before SB64

  • Attend ~2 online preparation meetings
  • Spend ~10 hours on independent learning (reports, webinars, etc.)
  • Coordinate travel with NYCA team

๐Ÿ”น During SB64

  • Be available 2โ€“3 hours daily for NYCA activities
  • Attend daily team meetings (~60 minutes)
  • Participate in:
    • Climate negotiations
    • Side events
    • Stakeholder meetings
  • Support tasks like:
    • Social media
    • Tracking negotiation topics
  • Join NYCA social events

Program Benefits
Selected participants will receive travel funding (up to a set limit), shared accommodation, and a daily food stipend while attending the UN climate conference in Bonn. Beyond financial support, delegates gain hands-on experience in international climate negotiations, network with global policymakers, NGOs, and fellow youth leaders, and access exclusive side events and stakeholder meetings. The program also offers valuable skill development in climate policy, advocacy, and communication, while providing the opportunity to represent Nordic youth through the Nordic Youth Climate Academy. Participants further benefit from exposure to real-world sustainability processes, along with personal and professional growth in an international setting, and receive a certificate of participation after the event.
