Fully Funded : Apply For The ESPID Clinical Training Fellowship 2025
The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) is inviting its members to apply for the 2025 Clinical Training Fellowship, designed to support short-term training visits to other centres. This opportunity allows early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in specific skills or areas that are not accessible at their home institutions.
Host Institution Requirements:

The receiving centre must confirm in writing, ahead of time, that they can offer the requested training—including dates, schedule, and structure.

After the visit, the centre must verify that the applicant participated in the training as outlined.
Note: Only one ESPID award can be granted per project. If your project could fall under multiple awards, you must choose one and clarify if other funding applications are underway.
This fellowship does not cover research activities—it is intended for clinical training and skill acquisition.
What Does the Fellowship Cover?

Duration: Up to 24 weeks

Expenses covered: Travel, accommodation, and living costs
Breakdown:

Travel Allowance (round-trip):

Within home country: €200
-
Within Europe: €600
-
Outside Europe (e.g. Americas): €1,000
Travel is reimbursed upon submitting receipts and the final report.

Accommodation:
Up to €300/week (with proof of payment) -
Subsistence:
€120/week (no receipts required)
Total weekly support (incl. food, housing, transport): up to €420 (based on prorated breakdown)

ESPID aims to respond to applicants within four weeks. It’s recommended to submit your application 2–3 months before your intended training start date.

Additional Information
Be a current member of ESPID with all dues fully paid.
Be undergoing training in paediatrics or in a related clinical, scientific, or healthcare field within a paediatric or child health setting.
Professionals already in post may also be considered—if the learning opportunity holds strategic value and cannot be obtained locally.
