Fully Funded : Apply for the European Commission’s Blue Book Traineeship Program 2024

Applications for the European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme are available to foreign students twice a year. The Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) offers translation traineeships, whereas the European Commission offers administrative traineeships.

Applications for these positions are welcome from candidates worldwide, irrespective of their citizenship, race, colour, sex, ethnicity, social background, religion and belief, national minority membership, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

Trainees who are successful will work with the European Commission, its agencies, and its services. They might primarily be employed in Luxembourg, Brussels, and other EU cities.

trainees receive a monthly compensation of €1.376,89 in addition to travel expenses, medical cost reimbursement, and visa fees.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to EU citizens and non-EU nationals, but requires university graduates with a minimum 3-year higher education degree. Candidates must not have prior work experience over six weeks in EU institutions or agencies. Language proficiency is required for administrative traineeships and translation traineeships. Additional points are given for work experience, international education profile, work experience abroad, international environment work aptitude, and rare fields of study.

Application Procedure
Candidates must submit a valid passport, university degrees, certifications, work experience documents, international experience documents, and language skills documents. The application procedure involves creating an EU account, filling out the application form, and applying for a selected traineeship post on the Virtual Blue Book (VBB) portal.
