Applications are open for the Her Voice Fund (HVF), a feminist-focused, flexible funding initiative by Womankind Worldwide that seeks to support women’s rights organisations, feminist movements, and even informal groups in the Global South. The fund is designed to strengthen feminist organising by resourcing transformative advocacy work that amplifies the voices of marginalised women and girls. Through this programme, applicants are encouraged to drive policy change, movement building, and grassroots action in ways that are inclusive, intersectional, and impactful.

Program Benefits

Successful applicants will receive flexible grants of up to GBP 40,000 for formal partner organisations and up to GBP 20,000 for informal grassroots groups, both spread across 24 months. This flexible funding is designed to reduce administrative burdens while allowing grantees to focus on meaningful advocacy, policy influence, and organisational strengthening. Beyond financial support, beneficiaries gain an opportunity to increase visibility, enhance collective action, and contribute to feminist movement building at national, regional, and global levels.

Eligibility Criteria

The fund is open to women’s rights and feminist organisations, as well as informal collectives, operating within Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, or Nepal. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to intersectional feminism and should be able to show how their work centres the needs of the most marginalised, including women with disabilities, LBTQI+ women, young women, and incarcerated women. Proposals should clearly outline advocacy initiatives or policy influencing efforts, whether at national, regional, or international levels, and collaboration with other organisations or networks is strongly encouraged.
